Growing up, We’ve all had that one issue, our one foe and enemy till the day we die, the one thing everyone despises… folding a fitted bed sheet… LIKE HOW DO WE DO IT is the question we should be asking ourselves. Well, today I’m going to teach you the interesting and surprisingly complicated way on how to fold a fitted bed sheet with pictures!
Step 1: wash it (duh)
- Don’t be nasty, do yourself a favor and use some Downey and Tide pods to get your sheet all clean and even ready to fold. DO NOT forget to use a wrinkle-free drying sheet during this cleaning stage, this is very important for later on.
Step 2: Fold it. (PART 1)
- You must follow this step as it ensures you have a clean base and more clean and precise edges on your fitted sheet.
- Take the sheet in its inner form and turn it inside out so the design on the sheet is on the inside of the sheet instead of on the outside. Make sure you keep a firm grip on the sheet corners so you don’t lose them.
- Make sure the elastic band is facing your direction
Step 3: Fold it (PART 2)
- Then you’re going to fold the top two corners together and fold one over the other kind of layering them almost. (repeat for the other side)
Step 4: Fold it. (PART 3)
- Once you have a rectangle-like shape you’re going to need to bring the top two corners to one another and (similar to step 2) fold the new double-layered sheet inside out over the other side so now the pattern is visible on the outside
- You should now have a smaller rectangular shape with a slight curve along the top with the sheet being layered four times on itself.
Step 5: Are we done?
- Now you’re going to lay the small rectangular shape onto a surface and now you’re going to fold the ‘U’ shape over so there’s no longer a curve along the top and make sure to flatten out everything as you’re going.
Step 6: Almost… Hang in there!
- Now that we have a slim rectangular shape, we’re going to fold the sheet in half and make it an even smaller rectangle shape.
- From here all we need to do is tri-fold the sheet making sure the sheet is folded into three identical rectangles to form the perfect rectangle shape that is small and easy to store away in that basket of holiday bedspreads your mom keeps in the back of her closet!
Step 7: You now have a successfully folded bed sheet that you can proudly show off to the rest of your friends.
