Taylor Swift is an internet sensation right now with her tour grossing 9-13 million dollars per concert. More and more people are starting to enjoy her music and become huge fans but with all the popularity she is currently receiving, the question is: Is Taylor Swift overrated or underrated? Before her big break, Taylor Swift was a local talent. At the age of 13, her parents sold their family farm in Pennsylvania and headed to Hendersonville, Tennessee so she could pursue her career in country music. As she gained local popularity, she performed her written songs at many venues in Nashville. After an iconic performance, she made a deal with Big Machine Label producer Scott Brorchetta. When she dropped Fearless in 2008, the album immediately hit number 1 on the Billboard 200. Her singles “You Belong with Me” and “Love Story” were the biggest hits of the album. After many hit albums, and songs hitting the top of the charts, there is no doubt that Taylor Swift is one of the greatest musicians of our time. Not to mention with the eras tour doing so well she has given back so much to the community giving a series of donations and bonuses to her team of truck workers giving $100,000 bonuses as well as when she performs in different states and areas hotels, restaurants, Uber workers, and craft stores do so well due to the fans that go see her bringing in a huge amounts of money. After experiencing public shaming and cancel culture, bouncing back to being one of the top artists in the world, there is no doubt that she deserves her fame. She is an amazing songwriter who is passionate about her music, and she deserves every ounce of popularity she gets.
