Many of you know Evan Griffith and Rachel Griffith, as they are exemplary role models at Westmont. The infamous twins don’t just celebrate Earth Day, they also celebrate their birthday! Make sure to wish Evan and Rachel a happy birthday on Earth Day, April 22nd! Here’s a short interview of what the twins think about having their birthday on Earth Day.
Do you have any interesting stories about having your birthday on Earth Day?
Rachel: Hmm. . . Not really but my mom likes to wish us a happy B-earth day every year!
Evan: One time I got a bike for my birthday it was orange and black it was really cool and it goes fast when I ride it. I like very much getting presents on my birthday.
Do you like having your birthday on Earth Day?
Rachel: Having our birthday on earth day is a fun way for people to remember when our birthday is!
Evan: Not really. I am not a huge fan of the earth, so sharing its day with my birthday really messes up the vibes. I would do anything to have my birthday on any other day.
How do you usually celebrate your birthday? Do you celebrate Earth day?
Rachel: Every year we agree on a birthday dinner for our mom to cook us! Then we have our grandparents over to celebrate. We also have to decide on a cake to share and if we want to do anything together for the day. When we were younger our mom would make us earth day themed treats to share with the class like ‘worm cupcakes’ with Oreo crumbs for dirt and gummy worms on top.
Who is the older one and by how much?
Rachel: Evan is older by 4 minutes!
Evan: A fun fact is that Rachel and I are actually born on different days! I was born at 11:58 on April 22nd, and Rachel was born at 12:02 on April 23rd. We just celebrate our birthdays on the same day to make it easier.
