Tighe Wardrobe

By Madeline Crowley and Lily Bourne

As we entered the classroom of enthusiastic teacher Ashleigh Tighe, she greeted us in yet another one of her unique outfits. From her iconic red lipstick to her classy blue jeans, many of Tighe’s students are in awe of her effort to show up to school in fashion. We interviewed her on a few questions regarding her day to day style and here were her answers:

Describe your style in three words:

Sophisticated, classy, unique

What element/accessory always completes an outfit?

Definitely red lipstick!

How do you feel about heels?

I love them so much! They are perfect for every outfit.

Who is your fashion icon?

My grandmother has definitely influenced my fashion sense.

What is a go-to clothing item in your closet?

Jeans – they are so comfortable yet classy!

Where do you love to shop?

Little boutiques because I don’t want to wear the same thing as anyone else!

How long do you typically spend choosing an outfit?

Well.. it’s one of my fashion secrets but I plan out all my outfits for the school year in the summer so that I never repeat an outfit! I also keep a list of everything that I wore.

What is a fashion trend that you hate/a piece of clothing that we’ll never catch you wearing?

I don’t like the Prairie look or short shorts.

What is your favorite clothing piece you own?

My big red furry coat.

How do you feel about the fashion of your Westmont students?

I love it, it’s very interesting to see, and I like how it shows off all of their unique personalities!
