Friendship bracelets: this popular camptime activity is, in my opinion, one of the best hobbies of all time. The constant looping of string to create patterns is a calming activity which I thoroughly enjoy. I have spent countless hours sitting in the sun at summer camp, gossiping with my friends and looping strings over and over again. I love making fun patterns and constantly challenging my friendship bracelet-making ability. I can create tons of different patterns with friendship bracelets: chevron, candy stripe, or even including letters into the bracelet! Once, I worked for over 10 hours on a 24-string chevron style bracelet, which I benevolently gave to my friend. Perhaps the most fun part of this hobby is the gift-giving which comes with it. Whenever I make a friendship bracelet, I pour hours and hours into making a beautiful bracelet which my friends can wear all summer. One of my friends has been wearing a bracelet I made her for the past 6 months. (Shoutout to Avalon Kelly.) Friendship bracelet making is one of the best hobbies, and you should try to attempt to make these beautiful patterns.
