Gym rat, yearbook editor, tennis extraordinaire— Krish Mathur does it all. During the fall and winter, you can find him yelling support for his friends in the stands of football and basketball games; in the spring, however, Krish tears up his own court. Having played for three years, Krish plays doubles for the Westmont Varsity tennis team. As a result of Krish’ unfailing encouragement, his friends fill the small stands of the tennis matches and whisper-yell words of encouragement. A diligent worker at his job, school, and the gym, Krish pushes himself and others to their best potential. Loved and appreciated by many, Krish tries his best to see the good in everyone, and support them when he can.
Interview:
- What’s your favorite class and how do you push yourself to improve?
My work ethic probably has a lot of room for improvement, it’s decent but I think I can push myself much harder than I do right now. My favorite subjects are digital photography and economics.
2. What is your favorite hobby outside of school?
One of my favorite activities outside of school is weightlifting. I really enjoy weightlifting because once you start to see improvements in yourself, it almost becomes addictive and it’s hard to stop. Also all of my friends weightlift so it’s an activity we can all do together.
3. How would your friends describe you?
My friends would probably describe me as a laid back humorous guy who is easy to get along with.
4. Are you ready for college?
I’m mostly prepared for next school year. I’m just a little worried because it’s a big step from high school to college. It’s gonna be a lot more work which is something I’ll need to be ready for.
