On November 6, 2021 fans screamed, waved, and pressed forward—for all the wrong reasons. Instead, Travis Scott’s concert became the location of a tragedy, as fans crowded the space and pushed toward the stage. Resulting in 10 lives lost and 300 severely injured, footage from a myriad of perspectives reveals fans waving to security and Scott himself, only to be ignored. While Scott released an apology video on November 7, fans, and bystanders nationally viewed it as little more than a “sorry” with little reparations being made. Offering to cover funeral costs for families of five victims, the famous rapper has been rejected by all five offers. Thus, the horrors of the Astroworld concert may be a reminder to all musical artists, how many people wait, wondering “will Scott recover?” However, many hope he does not.
