Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, is a businesswoman who has founded brands such as KKW Beauty, KKW Fragrance, and SKIMS. The multi-millionaire hosted the second episode of season 47 on the NBC comedy show Saturday Night Live. Kim started off the episode with her monologue joking about topics such as plastic surgery, Rob Kardashian’s most famous case (OJ Simpson vs the people), her transgender step-father, and her divorce with the famous rapper Kanye West. While most people in the audience laughed and applauded Kim, fans behind the screens felt the humor was insensitive. Taking to their social media and sharing their thoughts, sister of Nicole Brown Smith, Tanya Brown, felt Kim’s jokes were “distasteful” as her sister’s death should not be seen as a joke. The episode continued with several comedy skits. The first of these was “The People’s Kourt,” a parody of her older sister Kourtney Kardashian. Following that was a “Skims Commercial” which featured shapewear for furry friends. Additionally, in the skit “The Switch,” Kim and Aidy Bryant undertake the ultimate life switch. Lastly, five more of Kim’s skits included, “Costco Meeting,” “Ladies Night Song,” “Lotto Drawing,” “Jasmine and Aladdin,” and “The Dream Guy,” each featuring special guests. Although Kim’s monologue can be seen as inconsiderate, she did a great job at keeping the audience and TV viewers entertained.
