Fast Fine Dining

By Ricky Thompson

With fast food chains racking up their prices, it’s getting harder and harder to get a meal for under $5, much less under $10. Luckily, I am here to save the day, after hundreds of fast food visits, I have gotten the lay of the land. Of course, you have the obvious value menu at Taco Bell with your food options all being under $1.30, I would recommend the currently seasonal beefy potato-rito, it’s quite the deal. You can never forget the $1 freezes at Taco Bell from 2-5 PM, again my recommendation would be the strawberry lemonade freeze– heaven for only $1. Another infamous fast food chain, McDonald’s, has been steady raising prices over the years, but if you know where to look– the McDonald’s app– you can find majestic deals. My favorite deal on the app would be the “Buy one Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, 10pc Chicken McNuggets or Filet-o-Fish, get one FREE,” however some honorable mentions include “$1 Large Fries,” and it’s not even a deal but any size drink at McDonald’s is always a mere $1. If you find yourself scrounging for food late at night (past 9 p.m.), Jack-in-the-Box will be there to hold your hand with their delicious $6 Munchie Meals, consisting of a drink, half-and-half curly fry and normal fry, 2 tacos, AND your choice of a special Munchie Meal entree. Plenty of fast food places will fill you up for cheap if you know where to look; with my recommendations and your own research, you are sure to fill your belly, without emptying your pockets.
