The Asian Student Union is a cultural club at Westmont which aims to unite and strengthen the Asian community by addressing AAPI issues and raising cultural awareness. Through biweekly meetings, we seek to celebrate Asian cultures while making friends and having fun along the way. Although distance learning has kept us apart, we plan to provide virtual culture presentations and other opportunities for club bonding. In addition, we hope to plan ahead for the return of in-person learning, organizing future fundraisers and special events, such as the Lunar New Year celebrations. Eventually, we hope to be able to provide volunteering opportunities, instilling the same excitement of Asian cultures many grew up within the people around them. We look forward to a prosperous year and a more connected student body.
