Oatmeal, one of the tastiest foods in the wonderful breakfast kingdom. In addition, not only does oatmeal provide a large amount of fiber, but the breakfast will fill you up and produce enough energy to positively start the day!
In my opinion, one of the best forms of oatmeal is overnight oats, they require no cooking and if prepared the day before, will immediately be ready to your disposal in the morning.
I recommend the following recipe for a nourishing and slightly sweet breakfast!
Yield 2 serving
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (substitutions include almond milk or soy milk)
- ½ medium-sized banana
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Once you have all the necessary ingredients, you will simply mash the banana completely to then mix all of the items thoroughly together.
