Makenna Adams

In 2021, I want to learn to juggle and do handstands. To reach my goals, I will practice jugging and doing handstands. Throughout winter, I enjoy drinking my favorite winter beverage, sparkling cider, and partaking in holiday baking.

I want to be a more introspective person. I believe self-reflection is the only way to improve oneself! I’m going to take a gap year before entering college next year; hopefully I will find free time during this period to contemplate. In winter, I love skiing and my favorite beverage is hot cider.

As my resolution for the new year, I want to finish all the sewing projects I started over the summer! I have a Princess Anna dress, a mini-backpack, and a cute shirt that I want to make. My favorite winter beverage is hot cocoa and my favorite activity is ice skating!

My New Year’s Resolution is to read more for enjoyment. I plan to do this by reading instead of using my phone in my free time. In 2021, I am looking forward to it not being 2020 anymore! I really enjoy ice skating, but baking cookies with friends and family is also a great way to spend the winter.

My New Year’s Resolution is to start going to bed before 12 a.m. One way I can achieve this goal is by setting a reminder on my phone. In the New Year, I’m looking forward to relaxing, because by then I will have finished college apps! My favorite winter activity is sitting outside on my porch, drinking tea and watching the rain!

In 2021, I want to try different foods from as many different cultures as possible. To accomplish my goal, I will commit to trying a new family owned restaurant every two weeks. In winter, I love decorating for Christmas, hanging ornaments, and listening to Christmas music.

My New Year’s Resolution is to prioritize my health; I want to cook, exercise, and be out in nature more. Setting up a schedule and staying consistent will help me do this. I’m so excited for everything 2021 has in store! My favorite activity in the winter is going to San Francisco to get a warm hot chocolate at Ghirardelli Square.

I hope to enjoy each little moment and meet new people in 2021. By starting conversations and being more outgoing, which is not natural for me, I can do this (while wearing a mask of course!) In 2021, I’m excited to have a new president! My favorite winter activity is snowboarding–all year I wait for winter so I can visit the Tahoe slopes!

This new year, I hope to stop procrastinating (or at least I’ll tell myself that). I’ll achieve this by doing my work, ha. I look forward to a 100% effective COVID-19 vaccine and a chance to hang out with my friends and family in 2021. Spending time with family is always my favorite winter activity, and my favorite winter drink is tea.

My New Year’s Resolution is to take better care of myself. I can achieve my resolution by setting aside time every day to do things that I love to do, like watching Netflix or reading a book. I’m looking forward to going to college in the fall! My favorite winter activity is watching holiday movies and drinking hot chocolate.

I hope to read more books next year. I can accomplish this by spending less time on social media and the internet, which would give me more time to read. I’m excited for prom, graduation, and the summer after senior year. My favorite things to do in winter are ice skating, skiing, celebrating Christmas, and hot cocoa.

My New Year’s Resolution is to read more books. One way I can achieve this goal is by taking time to read books. I’m looking forward to be graduating from high school in 2021 and going to college. In winter, I enjoy making paper snowflakes to hang around the house and to making Christmas food, along with drinking hot cocoa.

My New Year’s Resolution is to “get money” like Jahseh Onfroy. By hustling hard, I can achieve my goal of getting money. I am looking forward to summer and going to college. My favorite winter activity is wrestling.

My New Year’s Resolution is to spend more time with friends and family before leaving for college, which I can do by scheduling hang outs (social distancing ofc) instead of staying in bed all day. I am looking forward to visiting my cousin in New Mexico next year if coronavirus situation gets better. My favorite winter activity is snowboarding.

My New Year’s Resolution is to make sure I enjoy my last months of high school. I think it’s important to appreciate this time because you’ll never get it back! I want to enjoy the rest of my senior year by (safely) spending more time with my friends. I might not be able to see them for a long time after this year. My favorite winter activity is baking. Its even better if it’s with friends.

My resolution for the upcoming new year is to be there for my friends and support those around me. To accompany this resolution, I also plan to spend more time doing the things I enjoy such as reading and spending time outside. As a senior, the upcoming year will bring with it many unique and new challenges. Many of my friends will leave California for a new college that will provide them with new opportunities, and I likewise will have to learn to thrive in my new environment. I love skiing as I have been “shredding” the slopes since I was four years old. I also love ice skating and simply enjoying the ethereal and tranquil silence snow fall offers.

My New Year’s Resolution is to work on my mental health and self-care. Additionally, I want to stop procrastinating on everything and be more organized. I am planning on making schedules and buying a planner to have more of a consistent routine. Once college apps are finished, I plan on making every Sunday a strictly self-care day. My absolute favorite winter activity is performing in the Nutcracker ballet.

In 2021, I hope to go to bed at a reasonable hour. I hated ‘bedtime’ growing up, but now I need one again! In order to better my sleep schedule, I will begin my homework much earlier.In 2021, I am looking forward to fresh beginnings- especially after the trainwreck that is 2020. The best thing to do in the winter is make gingerbread houses!

My New Year’s Resolution is to start playing soccer again, and focus and invest in my health overall. I can achieve those goals by continuing to practice soccer, going to my gym more often, and maintain a positive mindset. In 2021, I am looking forward to the covid vaccine distribution. In the winter, I love driving up to Lake Tahoe and skiing.

My New Year’s Resolution is finding colleges I am passionate about attending and sending impressive applications to said colleges. I need to identify areas of interest to major in and decide what I want to do in the future. I will research colleges with specialized programs for that field of study. My favorite winter activity is cuddling under a blanket with some hot cocoa with a pile of marshmallows and whipped cream.

I wish to improve my grades better in the second semester by increasing my studying time, using the skills I learned during the first semester and incorporating them into my work second semester. I’m looking forward to the 2021 Track Season. In winter, I find anything involving snow enjoyable.

My New Year’s Resolution is to get more than 5 hours of sleep a night. I can achieve these goals by exerting more energy during the day to make myself tired. I am looking forward to a Covid-19 vaccine which brings with it the end of quarantine. My favorite winter activity is snowboarding on packed powder in Tahoe.

I hope to be more kind to myself. Often, I am too critical, overthinking the smallest things I accomplish. By reminding myself to state facts versus personal observations, I can avoid being judgmental in the new year. I am looking forward to opportunities available for me and others in 2021. In winter, I enjoy performing The Nutcracker. I love to dance; sharing my joy with the audience while on stage makes my heart explode (in a good way).

My New Year’s Resolution is to be present and enjoy what happens now. I tend to focus on what’s going to happen in the future instead of enjoying what’s currently happening. To achieve my goal I will try to be aware of the positive things happening in my life right now. Come 2021, I am looking forward to my senior year and hopefully be able to see my friends more. In winter, I love baking and listening to holiday music. I also love driving around to see Christmas lights.

My New Year’s Resolution is to learn the guitar! I can practice at least 30 minutes a day to be able to play the guitar smoothly. I am looking forward to a better year than 2020. My favorite winter activity is watching cheesy Hallmark movies with my mom!

My New Year’s Resolution is to improve my studying habits. I can achieve this by managing my time better and creating a schedule that will keep me on track. One thing I am looking forward to in 2021 is getting my learner’s permit. My favorite winter activity is skiing. My family and I go to Tahoe every winter to ski.

For my New Year’s Resolution, I plan to invest some time each day into learning Italian because that is where many of my relatives are from. I hope to achieve this goal through a free language app where I can track my progress and improve over time. In 2021, I look forward visiting with friends, and creating new experiences. My favorite winter activity is skiing at Lake Tahoe with friends.

In 2021, I hope to bring my grades up, get a job/internship, and be confident in what I do. By staying motivated and true to myself I can accomplish this. I really hope COVID will go away, but that’s honestly not too likely. I’m excited for snowy Tahoe and maybe hybrid schools, even if they aren’t too effective. My favorite winter activities are skiing in Tahoe and watching Christmas movies while decorating the tree with my momma. We have over 100 ornaments so it takes up most the night but it is really fun.

My New Year’s Resolution would be to spend less time doing things that I want and start taking others into account more. I can start doing community service, working, and generally being available for people. I’m looking forward to getting back to a normal life, hanging out with friends, and doing life. My favorite winter activity would either have to be skiing or sitting next to the fireplace.

My New Year’s Resolution is to spend more time with my friends and family. I can achieve this goal by trying to put my phone and computer aside and making time for the people that I love. In 2021, I am looking forward to putting the mess of 2020 behind me. My favorite winter activities are watching Christmas movies and decorating cookies or gingerbread houses.

My New Year’s Resolution is do of my homework the day it is given, rather than relying on Wednesday to catch up on assignments that I didn’t leave enough time for. In order to achieve a better work ethic, I can start regularly making block schedules in my calendar so that I can plan out my day better. I am looking forward to the pandemic hopefully improving so that I can finally see my friends and do activities that I love. My favorite winter activity is building snowmen up in Lake Tahoe and making hot chocolate!

My New Years Resolution is to spend less time worrying and more time having fun. I hope to be able to spend more time with friends and better manage my workload. I am looking forward to things hopefully opening up again and being able to start school sports. My favorite winter activity is watching Christmas movies with my family while bundled up in my pajamas sipping cocoa.

My new year’s resolution is to stop procrastinating on big projects and to stop studying for tests the night before. To achieve this resolution, I will study and do my work at least 1 week before its due. In 2021, I’m excited to see the end of quarantine and COVID-19. In winter, I love skiing with my family!

My New Year’s resolution is to not procrastinate, as well as get better at playing the piano for fun. To accomplish this, I can keep an organized schedule and just practice more. In 2021, I’m just overall looking for a better year. I don’t have a specific activity that I enjoy, I like almost any winter activity honestly. I do like spending more time with my family though.

For my new years resolution I want focus on getting my schoolwork done when I have ftee time rather than wasting time on tiktok. I plan on making more use of my planner and getting off video games when my friends aren’t done. I am just looking forward to being done with 2021. Mostly I look forward to the prospect ofstarting to recover from quarantine and returning to work. My favorite winter activity is hanging out around the Christmas tree and enjoying the Holiday vibe.

In the new year, I hope to get good grades by working hard, studying, and doing everything on time. I’m looking forward to the end of COVID-19 in 2021. In winter, I enjoy sleeping in and vibing to music.
