Comradery is Alive at Westmont
By Alma Cisneros-Iberri
In this climate of polarization, it’s nice to see groups of different backgrounds coming together for the common good. This month, the Latinos Unidos Club is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. In recognition, the club decided to decorate the art display case with traditional Latin American decorations and posters of famous Hispanics who have contributed to society. Unfortunately, some members were out sick that day and others were busy doing school projects, so students from the Korean American Student Association stepped up to the plate and decided to help decorate. If you go check out the display, you will see what a wonderful job they did with the guidance of Ms. Iberri, Westmont’s Community Liaison. So now, Latinos Unidos would love to pay forward by offering to help any other club set up a display or anything they may need.
