Trader Joe’s has no shortage of snacks to choose from, but its candy section is seriously overlooked. From sour gummies to chocolate and peanut butter goodness, there’s something for everyone’s sweet tooth. Here are some of my favorites to grab the next time you find yourself wanting a sweet treat!
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups– This combination is hard to beat, with the dark chocolate and peanut butter blending together perfectly. The chocolate is slightly bitter and the peanut butter a little salty, making every bite creamy and delicious. These are a fan favorite for sure, as I can hardly grab the last few bags on the shelves whenever I pick some up.
Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers– If you love sour candy, these are a must try. They have a chewy texture and hit you with a strong sour flavor when you first bite into them, but turn sweet just as fast, an upgrade from Sour Patch Kids.
Mini Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups– In case you can’t sense a theme already, I love peanut butter cups, and these are small, but so so good. They’re such an easy snack when you want something sweet but not a huge piece of candy. Unfortunately, their small size also means it’s way too easy to eat a bunch at a time, or the entire thing in one sitting!
Brookie Caramel Candy Clusters– This mix of sweet and salty combines some of the best desserts into a single snack. The brownie and cookie pieces are mixed with caramel and chocolate, which gives every bite a different flavor, which definitely makes these work checking out.
Dark Chocolate Orange Sticks– This sweet treat is one of my all-time favorites, which I totally wouldn’t have expected at first. There’s a piece of citrusy orange jelly encased in rich dark chocolate, and it is delicious. If you’re a chocolate and orange lover, this is definitely your cup of tea!
Sour Strawberry Candy Belts– These are the perfect mix of sweet strawberry gummy flavor and a sour sugar coating. They’re chewy and fruity, but the sourness adds a great flavor, similar to the Scandinavian Swimmers. If you love those and haven’t had these, you should certainly give them a try!
Whether you’re craving chocolate, gummies, something sour, or a combination of all of those, Trader Joe’s has a treat for you. The variety of flavors makes it hard to choose one or two to take home, I know I always end up leaving with way more candy than I planned on buying!
