  6. It’s estimated that, for Halloween, people in America spend an overall average of $4.1 billion on costumes, $3.6 billion on candy, and $3.9 billion on decorations.
  7. Halloween was put on hold for a few years during WWII due to sugar rationing.
  8. Halloween used to be called “All Hallows’ Eve.” People would walk around with torches to ward off evil spirits.
  9. Black cats are believed to bring bad luck and curses due to the fact that they were also believed to be connected to witchcraft.
  10. Apples are 25% air, causing them to float when in water. Perfect for bobbing!
