The midterm election is arguably the most relevant portion of politics, ultimately changing the dynamic of the checks and balances system. The 2026 election will occur on November 3rd, and voters will elect 435 members of the house, as well as 35 members of the senate. Currently, there are 212 democrats and 218 republicans in the House. For the House of Representatives to be in the favor of The Democrats, they would need to gain six seats, and vise-versa, Republicans would need to maintain their six seat lead. The outcome of this election could have a major impact on the direction of our country. If The Democrats prevail, there would be major conflicts in the presidential agenda, persisting in launching investigations and stalling bills, whereas in the case the opposing party wins, then Trump’s agenda would continue.
