Located in Downtown Saratoga and only a ten minute drive from Westmont, Big Basin Cafe has the ideal location and atmosphere for a perfect study session. To start, there is plenty of open seating both in the sun and shade, providing a very welcoming environment for students. While sitting outside, you can enjoy the music, people-watch, or listen for sports cars driving by on their way up into the mountains. Big Basin Cafe even allows pets, so feel free to bring a furry friend. It provides the perfect amount of background noise for productive studying.
Big Basin Cafe is one of my year-round favorites. It offers a variety of fun coffee drinks (alongside basic espresso) and teas, both hot and iced, as well as many sodas. The lavender latte is one of my favorites, complete with latte art (which, in my opinion, is the best part). You can also choose from a selection of hand-made gelatos. In addition to gelato, there are plenty of other sweet treats, including assorted cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, cheesecakes, eclairs, and tiramisu. If you are looking for something more substantial, Big Basin Cafe has delicious sandwiches, breakfast plates, specialty salads, pastries, and more.
Overall, Big Basin Cafe has been my key to a successful and not completely boring study session. If my list of heavenly desserts did not convince you to take a trip, I would highly recommend checking out Big Basin Cafe next time you find yourself in Downtown Saratoga.
