We always talk about wanting to make a difference in our environment, but how often do we actually take action? Luckily, our school’s Environmental Advocacy club provides a great opportunity for us to take the initiative and positively contribute to our world.
Every year, we host cleanups at local trails and beaches. Additionally, we have organized events such as competitions that encourage people to collect plastic bottles, and we have even participated in tree planting efforts. In general, our club is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and directly addressing them in our own communities.
On May 2nd (2026), we will be taking a field trip to Seabright State Beach from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. Students interested in joining can pick up a field trip form from Ms. Wakefield’s classroom (18A). By participating in the cleanup, you will not only be part of a meaningful experience, but you’ll also be able to get volunteer hours!
Caring for our environment is so important, and Earth Day is the perfect reminder that our actions have an effect on our surroundings. By joining our cleanup on May 2nd, as well as future activities from the club, you can ensure that you’re directly involved in making our planet a healthier place.
