The Westmont Wrestling team recently moved up to the highest division in BVAL, facing the best schools in the league, including Gilroy, Live Oak, and Evergreen Valley High School. Most recently, the team placed third out of 40 teams at the Evergreen Valley Classic, the highest finish among CCS teams. With leaders Nathan Wightman and Anthony Guttierrez, the team looks forward to placing among the top 5 teams in the Central Coast Section. Twelve hours a week and six days a week, the team works hard in the small gym as they yearn for the gold. On December 20, the team will travel to Abraham Lincoln High School to compete at the Nick Buzzolich Classic with hopes of winning the entire tournament.
