Deadbeat Tour

By Sadie York

Kevin Parker, or more commonly known as music creator Tame Impala, took on the Oakland Area for two nights this past weekend. The Deadbeat tour was quite anticipated, as Kevin’s last tour in 2022 left everyone yearning for more. He certainly did not disappoint. With a center stage, there were no bad seats, as the light displays reached every single person within the arena. While playing many songs from Deadbeat itself, Kevin also played all of the fan favorites, including Let it Happen, Feels Like We Only Go Backward, Elephant, Borderline, Eventually, The Less I Know the Better, New Person, Same Old Mistakes, etc.

The star of this show, aside from the music itself, was most definitely the visuals. From lasers to light screens, the atmosphere was insanely euphoric. Especially with his rhythmic music, Kevin created an extremely immersive experience for all viewers, where you could feel the beats within your soul. It’s safe to say any Tame Impala concert will leave you in an out-of-body experience, and when he tours again, I will be keeping an eye out for a ticket.
