Following a season of ups and downs, the 2025 football season has come to an official close. After the final game under the Friday night lights, it was a bittersweet feeling for all the seniors of Westmont. To reflect on the season from a closer perspective, Varsity seniors Josh Doherty and Nathan Wightman shared their thoughts on the team’s year. 

Season record: 3-7

Thoughts from Josh:

Most memorable moment?

“Beating Gunderson by one point.”

Favorite game?

Westmont v. Gunderson

Most challenging moment?

“Playing on an injury against Sobrato.”

Biggest takeaway?

“Enjoy every second because it goes by quick.”

Thoughts from Nathan:

Most memorable moment?

“Against Gunderson when we forced a fumble to win the game.”

Favorite game?

Westmont v. Gunderson

Most challenging moment?

“Against Willow Glen because we had no subs the whole game.”

Biggest takeaway?

“Probably how much closer I got with people throughout the season.”
