Tumbling Into Friday Night Lights

By Kaia Costa and Penny Nunes

Throughout the summer, the Westmont cheerleaders have been diligently preparing for the upcoming football season, fine-tuning every last detail. From partner stunts to pyramids, these girls fully dedicate themselves at cheer camp, training hard for four consecutive days from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. They kept that same energy all summer long, consistently practicing three days a week during their vacation. With the new season underway, the excitement and emotions are running high—especially for the seniors. For many, it’s a time to soak in every moment, both on and off the sidelines. When asked about what she looks forward to the most this season, varsity team captain Lily Dyer shares, “I’m looking forward to honestly everything with this being my senior season!” Thanks to their hard work and dedication over the summer, the team is ready to debut their next halftime performance on September 12th at home. Don’t miss the chance to come out and cheer on Westmont and the cheer squad as they kick off the 2025-2026 season at their upcoming game!
