As I came out of the cool airport doors, I was hit with a wave of humidity, a sign that I was officially in Cancun. We stepped into a taxi and an hour later, we arrived at our resort!
Day 1
The resort we were staying in, Hotel Riu Yucatan, was one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been in. As soon as we placed our bags in our hotel room, we explored the spacious resort. At 10:00pm that night, we went to the Riu Neon Party. It was a night filled with dancing and spending time with my family! I wish I took more pictures because the blurry ones below do not encapsulate the magical night.

Day 2
Riu Yucatan is an all inclusive resort, which means that food and drinks are all unlimited! For breakfast, we went to a buffet place in the resort. If you think about every food you crave, it’s there. There was also a plethora of fresh juices, so yes, I drank every one of them. After eating, my sister, Sinchana Holla, and I went to one of the three pools outside, got a virgin pina colada and took a dip in the pool. For lunch, it was another buffet style, with different food options and lots of ice cream! Afterwards, we attempted to do a handstand on the beach, but unfortunately failed. Later that evening, we went to a downtown near our resort and it was so pretty and lively! There were dancers and singers performing, and of course many shops. If you see me wearing a starfish bracelet, you know where I got it from!

Day 3
We got up at 7:00 a.m., ate breakfast, and boarded a bus to a beach about an hour away. After receiving brief instructions and being handed our snorkeling gear, we got on a boat that took us out to the middle of the ocean. Jumping off the boat, we snorkeled among the fish and turtles, and it was such a breathtaking experience! Many of the turtles swam directly beneath me, which was so cool! After we snorkeled to shore, we had a quick lunch in the woods under a shack. We got to see locals making our quesadillas and burritos live! After, we swam in the cenote, an underground cave (see picture below)! Back at the resort for the evening, we watched the resort shows and drank some more virgin pina coladas.

Day 4 & Day 5
Both of these days were all about relaxing and spending time in the resort. Getting unlimited fries, icecream, tacos, and drinks were the main goals of the day!

Overall, Cancun is a remarkable place that deserves to be on your bucket list!
