Palmetto Superfoods, oh how much we love you. After track almost every week, a trip to the Santana Row Palmetto becomes a norm. No matter the weather, no matter the time, we could devour a Palmetto bowl in less than 10 minutes. For the great sizing and no limit on toppings or bases, $13 gets you your worth while at Palmetto! Below, we’ve compiled our perfectly curated orders, with a review as to why we love them so much.
Sophia’s order: a medium bowl with half acai half mango base, kiwi, mango, banana, strawberries, hemp hearts, chia seeds, bee pollen powder, peanut butter, honey oat granola.
The perfect blend of the sweet mango and the acai make the perfect base for this bowl. Arguably the best part of the bowl, the mango base helps differentiate this bowl from other competition. The combination of the creamy peanut butter mixed with the various fresh fruits and crunchy granola add the texture and taste I always crave walking down Santana Row after shopping or driving hurriedly from track practice.
Sadie’s order: a medium bowl with ⅓ coconut base, ⅓ pitaya base, ⅓ acai base, honey oat granola, strawberries, blueberries, mango, cacao nibs, chia seeds, hemp seeds, bee pollen powder, organic honey, toasted coconut chips.
This was the first, and last order I’ve ever curated at Palmetto. Following the first bite, I knew it was perfect and would never need correcting. First, the bases all balance themselves out very nicely. The coconut base blends smooth, creamy, light sweetness with sweet, explosive pitaya, all contrasting a rich, unsweetened acai base. You can never go wrong with strawberries, blueberries, and mangoes, all offering a plethora of freshness, crunchiness, and tastiness. While you can’t taste the chia seeds, hemp seeds, or bee pollen, you certainly enjoy the health benefits. All the while, the cacao nibs offer a bitter blend to the pure honey, creating a harmony on my tongue.
