Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies

By Sophie Tuan

Super simple, easy to make, and full of peanut buttery-chocolatey goodness! The recipe for peanut butter Hershey’s cookies was one of the first recipes I tried when I started baking; the end result was melty and delicious and had my family coming back for seconds.

Recipe:

  • 1 cup peanut butter (any kind)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or you can add more for flavor)
  • Any kind of topper chocolate
    • Hershey’s kisses
    • Kinder bar pieces
    • Reeses
    • Snickers

How To Assemble:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Use an electric mixer to combine the peanut butter and sugar together until creamy, light, and fluffy
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla (it’s easier to beat the egg first, add the vanilla, then add to the other mixture)
  4. Roll into balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (make sure to spread them out)
  5. Bake for roughly 10-12 minutes (until tops are slightly cracked)
  6. Immediately press topper chocolate into the center of the cookie
  7. Cool the cookies (using wire racks, preferably)
  8. ENJOY!
