Approaching quickly, the week of March 24-27th, is Westmont’s Battle of the Classes competition and spirit week. With lunch time activities, spirit days, lip syncs, decorations and more, the school is sure to be buzzing with excitement. On Thursday March 27th, will be the highly anticipated rally, from 7-9pm in the gym, where the wally cup will be awarded to the most deserving class. It is chosen based on a point system and the class that has racked up the most amount of spirit points from rally games, class competition, and dress up day participation, throughout the year will win! This year, the overall theme for BOTC week is Rom Coms. Each class’s sub theme is as follows:
- Freshmen – 27 Dresses
- Sophomores – 13 Going on 30
- Juniors – Mamma Mia
- Seniors – 10 Things I Hate About You
If you would like to get involved with any of your classes planning including, designing the rally corner, painting the banner, or dancing in the lip sync, please talk to Laura Saldana in the Activities director’s office for more information. Furthermore, the spirit days you can expect to dress up for are:
- Monday: Jersey day (inspired by The Man)
- Tuesday: Dress like your type day
- Wednesday: Perfect pair
- Thursday: Class colors (freshmen-grey, sophomores-red, juniors-white, seniors-black)
- Friday: Pajama day (inspired by Sleepless in Seattle)
Don’t forget to check in with one of your class officers in the quad at break everyday to gather spirit points for dressing out. The points are used for deciding the winner of the Wally Cup!
