The 2024 Formula 1 season was a roller coaster of events. Temporary dominance, upsets, and heartbreak (Lewis Hamilton leaving Mercedes) filled the season. After a seemingly everlasting era of dominance, Max Verstappen’s reign faltered drastically. After a strong start, Red Bull failed to maintain performance and stability, leading to the rest of the front field catching up and ensuing in close contests of the Driver and Constructors Championship. Max Verstappen, as an elite driver, shut down any doubt and sealed the Drivers Championship with a sub-par car after fending off Lando Norris in his Mclaren; however, it seems that next season, the Drivers and Constructors Championship is up for grabs for anybody. Mclaren, however, didn’t end the season trophyless and convincingly won the Constructors Championship ousting Ferrari. A mid-season driver change for VCARB was decided as Liam Lawson replaced Daniel Riccardo who saw a bittersweet ending. Mercedes couldn’t develop two competitive cars simultaneously until their results in the last few race weekends of the season. The season was chaotic, calm, and always entertaining and filled F1 fans’ brains with plenty of dopamine and it seems as if next season will ensue with even more entertainment.
