Athlete Of The Issue: Kota Brown

By Lili Metanovic

They don’t got Kota Brown though,” is a common phrase spoken by the Westmont Boys Soccer Team. It’s easy to see why when you watch Kota play. He controls the game with precise passing while still scoring impressive goals. After earning 1st Team All-League player in the BVAL-Mt. Hamilton division last year, he hopes to achieve the same this season. Coach Matthew Schembri praises Kota, saying, “Kota is as fantastic a kid as he is a soccer player. He drives our team on the field, and we go as Kota goes.” With his sights set on a strong postseason, Kota hopes to lead his team to success in the CCS Championship.
