Mendocino Farms, an already beloved sandwich shop, recently opened a new location on January 13th in the Westgate shopping center. The normal sandwich menu, paired with an incredibly helpful staff made our experience a 10/10.
Already having sampled their delicious menu options in the past, Sadie opted for a Chicken Prosciutto sandwich, guava lemonade and a dill pickle potato salad. Sophia, looking for something new, tried the Farm Club with the dill pickle potato salad and a diet coke. Biting into the delectable layers of avocado, turkey breast, and bacon, the Farm Club offered tastes of an elevated BLT. The dill pickle potato salad, although a touch expensive for the sizing, was a perfect side while we waited for the sandwiches. Sadie gives her sandwich a 9.73 out of 10, because they forgot her honey roasted slivered almonds. Sophia gives her sandwich a 9/10.
When stepping inside the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by the bright smiles of the eager staff. They offered all of their assistance, and made the entire experience much simpler to process. After ordering our food, we were able to choose from a wide variety of seating. Eventually, we landed on a grass bench/table inside. Overall, we’d give the ambiance of the restaurant a 9/10. The outdoor seating included heat lamps and cushions, presenting a very comfortable environment for those who prefer the fresh air.
Overall, the new Mendocino Farms is a wonderful addition to the Westgate shopping center. Perfect for a quick meal before a Target run, or a post-school meal, the ambiance and delicious sandwich options make us very glad Mendo is here.
