When I die bury me in the red velvet dress I used to wear for Christmas
Bury me with the independence you instilled in my young body
Bury me with the love from you that never wavered
Bury me in the soil you taught me to cultivate
When I’m gone, plant a tree in this soil
With branches long and full
With violet flowers that bloom every spring Your favorite color
Your favorite hue
A family tree with you as the matriarch
A family loved and full
When I die bury me next to your tombstone
Forever my friend
Forever my mother
