Bo Bassett

For decades, wrestling has been one of the most prominent sports in the Midwestern and Northeastern regions of the United States. Among the states in those regions, one stands out for producing the best American wrestlers of all time: Pennsylvania. From Olympic Silver Medalist Spencer Lee to WWE Superstar Kurt Angle, many of the greatest American wrestlers hail from Pennsylvania. Recently, Pennsylvania high school wrestler Bo Bassett has been headlining as the most popular competitor at every major wrestling tournament in America. Bassett’s social media pages have quickly gained followers from all over the United States. Frankly, his intense, entertaining, and dominant wrestling style has captivated the attention of the American wrestling community.

From beating former NCAA (National Collegiate Athletics Association) Division 1 Champions to competing with Olympic Medalists, Bo Bassett’s prestigious career already contains the resume of most world-class wrestlers. However, one key detail separates him from the rest: he is only in the 11th Grade. That’s right, as a junior in high school, Bo Bassett has already competed at the US Olympic Trials (the tournament where the best collegiate, Olympic, and professional wrestlers compete for a spot in the Olympics) and the US Open (one of the toughest tournaments in America). However, these accomplishments have come to no one’s surprise. On his social media pages, Bassett exhibits his hard work and dedication to wrestling through a vivid display of his competitive mindset, disciplined routine, and rigorous workouts. As a junior, Bassett’s recruiting process has started, and Division 1 collegiate wrestling universities from all over the United States eagerly await his decision to see where he will take his talents.
