Like many other teens in the Campbell-Saratoga area, we have developed a liking for Dave’s Hot Chicken. It is a common meal for us, probably eaten once a week, or twice if we feel like it. With that being said, we will tell you our order and give an honest review of it. Enjoy!

I gave my meal a 7.5 which is a higher score for me because I usually don’t give dishes above a 6. The chicken was juicy which was nice but I was not a huge fan of the dry rub on the chicken wing in the slider. The bread balanced the sandwich out very well with the coleslaw. I did like the mac n cheese but I couldn’t tell because the spice from the slider messed with my tastebuds a little bit! I would definitely like to try this again later this year and give it another rating.

I gave my meal a fantastic 9/10 because Dave’s Hot Chicken always hits no matter the occasion. Unlike Lili’s, my chicken was piping hot and satisfied my hunger. I mixed the mouth-watering Dave’s sauce with my warm Mac n’ Cheese, which made it indescribably better. Similarly, my spice hot level was perfect, as it warmed my mouth–but not to the point where it hurt. Dave’s Hot Chicken is always an amazing option if you are hungry after a long school day, with a wide variety of sliders, sauces, and spices. The only reason I did not give it a 10/10 was because Lili made me purchase her 8.2/10 meal.

I gave my meal an 8.2 because it just didn’t hit for me this time. Don’t get me wrong –it was still amazing– but something was lacking. The chicken on the sandwich was a tiny bit cold for me which is what I’m guessing threw me off. Plus I forgot to order it with cheese, which was a mistake on my end, but overall I wasn’t as impressed with the food as I usually am. It fell a little short of my expectations which is why this meal received an 8.2 from me.
