As the Westmont Cheerleading team enters the competition season, they are full of high spirits and determination, aiming to secure a spot in the finals at UCA Nationals. This year, they’ve taken an extra step toward achieving that goal by collaborating with renowned cheer choreographer, Wesley Padilla. Known for his innovative approach to both game day and traditional cheer routines, Wesley has transformed countless teams with his unique choreography and attention to detail. His routines are not only visually engaging, but are also fun to perform. This allows teams to take their skills to new levels.
Wesley’s influence extends beyond the cheer mat, as his strong social media presence on TikTok of 950k followers allows him to inspire and connect with cheerleaders all around the world. His creative work gains lots of traction, which further shows his talent and how it brings a fresh perspective to the sport. At Westmont, his involvement has already begun to make a noticeable impact, adding sharp movements and crowd-leading skills to their routines that align perfectly with their competition goals. Senior Juri Kato states, “This is our team’s first time with a choreographer, and I love our routine as it looks very well done, and is something different that we have never done in the past. I had so much fun learning new motions and incorporating them into our routine, and with Wesley’s help & contagious energy it makes me even more excited to show our routines off at competitions.”
