A Sweet Escape: Westmont Edition

On September 28, 2024, Westmont High School showed up to Candyland with vibrant dresses and stylish button-ups as students enjoyed a sweet escape at their Homecoming. With delicious food and lively music, the night was packed with fun. But what was the best part? Was it the brownie food truck? The chocolate fountain? Or the colorful and creative decor? I spoke with Westmont students about their Homecoming experience, and their answers to that question might surprise you. Read below to discover what made their night truly unforgettable!

Aydin George Akyol:

What was your favorite part of homecoming?

My favorite part of homecoming was being on homecoming court.

Favorite food?

I loved the chocolate fountain.

Favorite song played?

“ss” by Ken Carson.

Aminah Chaudhry: 

What was your favorite part of homecoming?

My favorite part about homecoming was when they played ss by Ken Carson, the moshpit was lit, crazy, movie.

Favorite food?

Everyone ate it before I could try any.

Favorite song played?

“Love Sosa” – Chief Keef.

Emma Tran:

What was your favorite part of homecoming?

My favorite part of homecoming was going to the photobooth and capturing cute photos.

Favorite food?

The chocolate fountain, everything went well with it.

Favorite song played?

“Fein” by Travis Scott.

Elias Der:

What was your favorite part of homecoming?

My favorite part of homecoming was the claw machine. It was so fun to win the little bears.

Favorite food?

Chicken tenders and fries.

Favorite song?

“Mo Bamba” by Sheck Wes.

Juri Kato:

What was your favorite part of homecoming?

The mosh pit was really fun, the DJ was so much better than last years.

Favorite food?

The donuts went well with the chocolate fountain.

From the lights all around the gym, the amazing DJ and photo booth to capture the memories of such a great night, this year’s homecoming was truly a sweet escape from everyday life.
