Wicked Wooden Utensils

By Laura Lipcsei

Have you ever felt unpolished wood? You probably have, and haven’t thought anything of it, but personally, I despise the feeling. To me, the feeling of unpolished wood is like hearing nails on a chalkboard. Whenever I feel unpolished wood, I shudder and a shiver runs down my spine. Due to this, I absolutely hate wooden utensils. Not only are they difficult to wash, stain easily, and smell bad, but the mere feeling of them makes me want to tear off my hands, or whatever body part they touched. Even more horrendous, occasionally they splinter. So not only do you have to feel their awful texture, but you have to deal with the pain of splinters too. Whenever I catch a glimpse of a wooden utensil, I fight the urge to light it on fire to rid the world of its abominable existence. Overall, I don’t see why they were ever created, and will forever hate whoever invented them!
