Fire Flavors At Wingstop

By Mason Vargas

When I think of wings, the first place that I think of is Wingstop. When you’re at Wingstop you can almost never go wrong! Wingstop has savory and sweet flavored wings along with spicy wings when you want to bring up the heat! Additionally, the fries are a staple of their restaurant and one of my favorite parts of when I eat there. They also serve chicken sandwiches and fried corn, however, those dishes aren’t as popular compared to the other items on their menu. Here are my rankings of the 12 various flavors at Wingstop:

  1. Mango Habanero: Mango Habanero is ranked number two on Wingstop’s “Heat Scale” and I can’t help but agree. Mango Habanero is sweet and spicy followed by a fiery habanero punch, which is a lot to handle and can leave your throat begging for your beverage to quench it; however, when eaten with ranch, it is the perfect blend as the condiment cools down the overflowing heat of the habanero.
  2. Spicy Korean Q: Spicy Korean Q is a must-have for me whenever I go to Wingstop. When the flavor first hits my mouth, my taste buds don’t know exactly how to process it. It’s a mixture of sweet soy, ginger, and garlic which you can later remember after letting your tastebuds analyze it. It is arguably one of the most savory flavors that always leaves its enjoyer satisfied by choosing it.
  3. Lemon Pepper: Arguably Wingstop’s most popular flavor and for a reason. It’s tangy, zesty, and citrusy. This flavor of chicken wing is one of the dry rub flavors at Wingstop and never fails to satisfy. Many consider it a go-to choice as it brings a savory flavor without spiciness. It never fails to disappoint and is a classic for a reason!
  4. Louisiana Rub: Louisiana Rub brings the best of Cajun cuisine to your stomach. It has a mix of savory spices that offer a rich and complex taste that is satisfying and subtly spicy. It isn’t unmanageable but the kick of the spiciness might leave you reaching for your beverage.
  5. Original Hot: Original hot is the flavor that is found at many establishments. It’s simple, spicy, and delicious. As a classic flavor, you will see this all around. The heat isn’t overwhelming but it’s enough to know it’s there. You can never go wrong with it and it delivers every time.
  6. Garlic Parmesan: Garlic Parmesan is rich and savory, with a buttery garlic flavor and a touch of Parmesan cheese. It’s a great choice if you love strong, non-spicy flavors. It’s super tasty without any heat.
  7. Cajun: Cajun takes the classic Original Hot and gives it a spicy, flavorful twist. The addition of Cajun seasoning brings an extra layer of depth, with spices that are bold and slightly smoky. It’s a flavor that’s both familiar and exciting, perfect for when you want something with a bit more complexity. The heat is medium-high, so it’s got a kick, but the flavor is what really shines through.
  8. Hickory Smoked BBQ: Hickory Smoked BBQ is all about that sweet, smoky barbecue flavor. It’s mild in heat but really rich and tangy, so if you love BBQ sauce, this one’s for you. It’s tasty and comforting without being spicy.
  9. Atomic is the spiciest flavor at Wingstop, so it’s only for those who can handle extreme heat. It’s super intense, and the heat just keeps building. It’s the type of wing that tests your limits with spice. There’s a reason it’s at the top of the heat scale. You may question your choice for choosing it after trying it. Make sure you have your supply of napkins and a beverage to attempt to numb the pain in your mouth!
  10. Mild: Mild is the softer side of Wingstop’s Original Hot, offering all the flavor with just a hint of spice. It’s a great option for those who love the taste of buffalo wings but aren’t big on heat. The flavor is rich and satisfying, giving you that classic wing experience in a more approachable form. Perfect for when you want to enjoy your wings without breaking a sweat.
  11. Hawaiian: Hawaiian wings are sweet and fruity. They have a tropical pineapple-esque flavor to them. They’re not spicy and most definitely savory. They provide you with a safe choice and a refreshing change of taste. If you want something light, Hawaiian is the way to go.
  12. Plain: Not much to say about plain wings. They’re plain! If you want to taste the simple flavor of chicken then go for it. They are exactly how they sound. It’s the natural flavor of chicken. Because of this, there is nothing to go off of.

When it comes to fire flavors at Wingstop, there is a huge array of flavors to choose from. Whether you want a spicy, savory, or sweet flavor, there’s always something for you. One might say, “That’s pretty fire!” about the fire flavors at Wingstop.
