This is my 18th year in the classroom.
What are your pet peeves?
Electric pencil sharpeners . . . and getting caught behind a slow walker on a crowded walkway. And when you try to go around them, they migrate in the same direction you were attempting to pass them by.
Who is your hero?
My mom. She’s the coolest and most loving person I know.
What is your current favorite song?
” ’68 Fastback” by Zach Bryan.
Who was your most influential teacher and why?
Mr. Addington was my fifth grade teacher at Fammatre Elementary. He made learning hands on and fun. I specifically remember recreating frontier forts out of Lincoln Logs, reading some awesome books about the American Revolution, and singing show tunes every morning. He clearly loved his job and it showed.
What is your favorite meal?
Breakfast! I will eat breakfast any time of the day: waffles, pancakes, eggs, french toast, omelettes, and most importantly, coffee!
What is your gas station order?
During a roadtrip? A bag of chexmix and a diet coke.
The ideal vacation is…
My ideal vacation would be a week in a mountain cabin near a lake with family and friends and a stack of books and games.
