I am writing this as tears stream down my face. The American Dream movie was promised to the public when the greatest rapper of our generation, 21 Savage, promoted his brand new album, American Dream. Paired with the greatest album of the century, the movie was meant to be the spectacle of a lifetime, something I have been looking forward to for months. Upon the album’s release, 21 Savage announced that he was going on tour, known as the American Dream Tour, for which I hastily purchased tickets. The concert was on Thursday, May 9, at the Toyota Pavilion, and it was an absolute blast. However, in preparation for the concert and this article I conversed with the Vamp Man himself, Wyatt Spears. This was the conversation that changed my life for the worse. I mentioned this article and that it would be about the concert and the movie. To this, he informed me that the movie wasn’t actually a real thing and that the advertisement for it was staged for the album’s promotion. Refusing to believe this, I took to the internet in order to try to disprove his claim, however, this was to no avail. Now, I am completely crushed, heartbroken, and filled with gloomy anguish. How will I go on without my king’s movie dropping this summer? Never will I be the same again.
