My family adopted Kali in 2020 at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we knew we wanted a puppy to bring into our lives, there was no way for us to prepare for Kali. By far, she is one of the most unusual dogs I’ve ever owned (we named her with a ‘K’ because of this), but that’s one of the reasons I love her the most. Kali’s presence simply lightens up anyone’s mood. Due to being raised in quarantine, Kali never really properly developed—socially. Although she might not know how to interact with people properly, everyone always ends up loving her the same.
If you’ve ever had a conversation with me, you probably know about my dog, since I talk about her so much. 99% of my camera roll is pictures of Kali. It’s hard to imagine a life without Kali, as she has such a warm presence in my house. Pets are so crucial in growing up, and having an animal to come home to every day is equally important. Kali’s the perfect dog for staying home and sleeping in, excursions on hiking adventures, and even going on late night drives. She’s the perfect pup to stick by your side, and therefore, she is in fact one of my favorite things.
