Ever since August 17, 2023, I have looked forward to every B day morning because I get to spend it with the one and only Valerie Garcia-Vallejo. I have known Valerie since middle school–more specifically 6th grade–and we have been friends since. Although we have known each other for many years, we became very close during our freshman year. Almost every day, we would venture off to Room 58 for study hall to dilly-dally in the back on spinning chairs. We would munch together on our lunch break and talk about all the new people we meet every day. Slowly yet surely, we became closer and closer, so by soccer season, we became inseparable. I would text her almost every evening before practice to make sure she would be there. I always enjoyed having our silly little conversations while passing back and forth and watching the sunset. Soccer season with Valerie was definitely one of the highlights of freshman year.
To this day, Valerie and I continue to dilly-dally in the back of Room 58 on the spinny chairs and continue to have silly conversations. Truly, she makes my B days so much more enjoyable. Valerie is definitely the sweetest person I have ever met and never fails to show her compassion towards others. She has always been an extremely supportive and loving friend. I do not know what I would do without my wonderful, amazing, and kind Val Pal.
