Best & Worst Grammy Outfits

By Laura Lipcsei

The Grammys—one of the most prestigious music awards—have just occurred, and this year, many of the celebrities who came showed up in extremely interesting outfits. As someone who watches the Grammys solely for these celebrities’ red-carpet looks, I am going to rate a couple of the most iconic outfits this year, so that you, too, can experience the mind-boggling thing that is these famous celebrities’ fashion sense.

Best Outfits:

  1. Miley Cyrus

If I am being completely honest, this outfit scares me a little bit. However, it scares me in a good, intense way. She looks absolutely fabulous if you ask me! Is this her final form? Maybe. Either way, I think the frisky, gold outfit compliments her hair and makeup perfectly!

  1. Taylor Swift

She looks so stunning! I love how her matte, black gloves contrast with her flowy, white dress. Everything about this look – the hair, the makeup, the jewelry – works together to create a mesmerizing look. She looks absolutely dreamy!

  1. Doja Cat

I am honestly not really sure how to describe this outfit.. But if I was going to, I would say it is shocking, sexy, and dreamy. Her skintight, semi-transparent dress, with her bold makeup, and simple hair, makes for an interesting outfit. Everything about this outfit screams “Doja Cat”. It is simply iconic!

Worst Outfits:

  1. Dawn Richard (1/10)

Do I know who this is? No. Will I still harshly judge their outfit? Yes. I’m so sorry, but she actually looks like a used tampon. I can see the vision, however, the steady, red color throughout, paired with the tree (?) branches sticking out of the top, make her look like she is an expired pad. Furthermore, since her dress is red, she kind of blends into the carpet. Overall, I just can’t believe that somebody would let themselves wear this.

  1. Señora May

This outfit is…something. I just want to know why she decided to wear a sparkly dress, with a rainbow-colored tiger (!?) as the top part. I don’t really understand what the theme here is. The hair is okay, and the makeup isn’t horrible, however everything else about the outfit is not it.

  1. Ed Sheeran

I just have one question: why camouflage? There is no instance where wearing camouflage is a good decision! Especially since it clashes with his hair horribly, I mean honestly, who wears orange with green? Overall, it could be worse, but it is so overwhelmingly ugly, that I just can’t think of anything good about it.
