Whose House? Rodhouse!

By Anjali Nayak

Eleanor Rodhouse is a boombox and absolute weapon of a softball athlete. One of the captains of the team, she reflects the imaginative and joyful aspects of softball, cultivating an encouraging environment for all players involved. She says that her favorite thing about softball is “going to play with my best friends, and keeping fit.” Ellie discloses that she is “just an avid fan of sports in general” and she has stuck with softball due to the fact she “committed to it at a young age, and it’s just always been a part of [her] life.” Ellie plans to seek higher education at Alabama University in a degree in Sports Broadcasting in order to provide for more female representation in sports.

How long have you been playing?

14 years—wow that’s a long time. I started on Campbell Crush.

What’s your post game meal?

Chicken sandwiches for sure. I always go to Popeyes and get a chicken sandwich with my pals—-especially Anjali Nayak and Aarushi Kulkarni—then we go to Yogurtland if I still feel a little hungry.

What’s your favorite hype song?

I dabble with “Maria” by Justin Bieber.

What’s your position?

3rd base. 3rd base only.

Shoutout to a favorite coach?

Scott Mackenzie for sure. I would have quit at this point without him.

What are you looking forward to most about this season?

My senior night! Oh, and seeing if we make it to the playoffs or not.
