Goofy, kind, and unique, as described by her friends, freshman Maya Bourne is truly the full package. An active member in ASB and softball, Bourne is the embodiment of a student-athlete extraordinaire.
Regarding softball, the freshman enjoys the sport, stating how it is “really fun to be on a part of such a tight knit team.” As a newcomer, she reflects the team’s bond in that “everyone on the team is incredibly nice and welcoming to the freshman.” She hopes to continue on the softball team next year, as well as her winter sport of water polo.
Outside of school, Bourne continues to express her athletic prowess with a club water polo team. She also enjoys activities such as reading and working in the kitchen, cooking or baking. Her favorite sweet treat to create is a fruit tart, and her favorite book is Elantris by Brandon Sanderson.
With an already impressive line-up, this rockstar is sure to accomplish amazing things throughout her highschool career and beyond.
