Finalizing the routine they’ve been working on since October, Westmont’s cheerleaders prepare for the performance they’ve been anticipating most: UCA Nationals in Flordia. The team puts in hours of hard work and attends weekly 6 AM practices to acclimate to the time change they will experience over the six-day trip. Until departing on February 7, Westmont Cheer continues its path to becoming nationals-ready, while simultaneously supporting the basketball team by cheering and performing at home games. Coming to the end of a season of successful competitions—including placing second at the NorCal state championships on January 27—the Westmont Cheer team hopes to progress to the semifinals at nationals.
