Even when faced with many demoralizing controversies, the National Football League, NFL, has finally reached its playoff season. After losing the Cowboys, Buccaneers, Eagles, Rams, Packers, Bills, Texans, Browns, Dolphins, and Steelers throughout the entire playoff run, only four teams remain as of January 25, 2024. The San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, and Kansas City Chiefs have fought through the rest of their competition with their last game before the highest level of football, Super Bowl LVIII.
The 49ers, coached by Kyle Shanahan, have consistently been the #1 team throughout the regular season but almost lost their Divisional Round matchup against the Packers, causing a lot of skepticism of their might.
The Lions, headed by coach Dan Campbell, have been on a roll with their stellar adjustability and play calling throughout their two last matchups against the Buccaneers and Rams. They come as heavy fan favorites to win the NFC Conference Championship.
The Ravens, led by coach John Harbaugh, directly mirrored the 49ers with pretty high favoritism towards winning the AFC; however, with a lot more competition for the top spot in the Division, the Ravens created a very strong lead by outsourcing their NFC Divisional Round opponents a staggering 78-25, 38-6 against the Lions and 33-19 against the 49ers.
The Cheifs, commanded by the veteran Andy Reid, might have been stripped of their throne after facing many missed wins and finally had to play in an away Wild Card Round. Although thoroughly securing their spot in the AFC Conference Championship. With subpar receivers and a legend who may have passed his prime, the Chiefs will have a hard game facing the Ravens against the maybe NFL’s Most Valuable Player.
As an NFL fan, I am rooting for the Lions and Ravens to avoid another Chiefs 49ers Super Bowl however, it will be a Ravens 49ers matchup that somewhat confirms the theory that the NFL logo predetermined the past three Super Bowl winners.
