Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier born and raised in New York. Epstein started his career as a math teacher at The Dalton School (a very elite school). But in 1970 he went to work at an investment bank before he founded his firm J. Epstein and Co. His negotiations were operated outside of the U.S. Virgin Islands for tax reasons. On July 8, 2019, he was arrested on charges of sex tracking and conspiracy to have engaged in sex trafficking.
Following the indictment he pleaded not guilty on both charges. He was denied bail and remained in jail until August 10 until many social media outlets confirmed Epstein had died due to suicide. He was arrested after arriving back in the United States from France. For many years Jeffrey sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida among other locations.
His indictment noted that he paid many of his victims to recruit young girls to be abused; the girls were as young as 14 years old. The prosecutor searched his home, and during the search photos of nude underage girls were found. Not until a few weeks ago did a list come out that had many well-known celebrities in connection with the abuse of many minors. Some of the names that were contained on the list were
- Prince Andrew- Duke of York, second son of Queen Elizabeth ll of Great Britain brother of King Charles.
- Bill Clinton– former U.S. president

The documents refocus on the power of Epstein and as well as the wealthy and powerful people associated with him raising new questions and their involvement in those crimes many of those are now part of the lawsuit but claim to have nothing to do with him or the whole situation.
