Soooo… yeah. The Eagles lost. Twice. The 10 – 1 team, the “Elite of the East” (that probably isn’t a real name), went from their superior record, near perfect, to 10-3; losing even at their own home stadium! Now, in fairness, the NFL script makes no sense. Why would the referees suddenly stop carrying the Chiefs? Maybe their backs hurt too much and they can’t keep giving Mahomes undeserved wins. On top of that, the Dolphins clearly haven’t had enough competition to properly test their skills, although Tyreek Hill does deserve MVP, but that’s a whole other problem. To properly show how bad the Eagles are, first, we will look at their record, and then, after analyzing it, we will see their losses and the reasons. Hopefully, this will reveal the real champions of the NFL.

Now, there are a lot of wins on that chart, but none are very impressive. Their highest victories were against the Buccaneers and the Dolphins, won by 14. However, the Buccaneers aren’t great, and we’ve already determined that the Dolphins are frauds. Then, to lose to the Jets (5-8, by the way) is incredibly disappointing. The Cowboys and the 49ers are the best teams in the NFL, so the Eagles stood no chance against them, but they just showed that the Eagles truly aren’t the best. I look forward to watching them continue to take embarrassing losses up through the playoffs and beyond.
Clearly, the Eagles aren’t the best, but then who is? Easy, our very own San Francisco 49ers. Sure, they have the same record as the Eagles and Cowboys, and sure, they lost a few shameful games, but at least they have a reason. The Eagles didn’t have injuries when they lost, but the 49ers? They were missing crucial, crucial players. Offensive tackle Trent Williams and Deebo Samuel left the team crippled, with George Kittle having to block, leaving Brock Purdy pressured and Christian McCaffrey locked up, even leading him to hurt his leg from running so much. Then, when these players came back, along with the draft of Trey Lance, not only did they beat the Eagles, they crushed them.
No doubt this has some bias, regardless, the playoffs will be an interesting time, but not with the Eagles. We must wait now and see how things turn out.
