Imagine waking up in your $12 million mansion with your beautiful and successful partner and three children. What more could you possibly ask for? According to some celebrities, there is plenty more to be asked for, and the asking usually comes in the form of wanting something outside of their actual relationship which can lead to cheating.
Cheating by all lists (A-D List) of celebrities has become so normal that we don’t even blink an eye at it and instead say, “I saw that one coming.” Why is this the case? Why have we, as a society, allowed this to take place? Well, let me explain why: it’s because of how we handle and perceive celebrities.
Celebrities lack the ability to have a private life, therefore having anything private, such as an affair, produces a sense of vulnerability in the relationship because it is out of the public eye. I am not arguing that the situation makes it okay for celebrities to cheat because it is the celebrities’ choice to be put in that position in the first place. Celebrities choose to be in the public eye when they become famous, so they should be prepared for what follows.
Celebrities usually have greater access to chances and encounters with other attractive and accomplished individuals. Constant attention from fans, admirers, and industry friends can heighten temptation, making it more difficult to resist the lure of new connections. Why settle for the past when the future is there in front of you? Because of us, it may be difficult for celebrities to resist the need for a new romance. As a society, we always expect superstars to be the most successful or to have the most successful relationships because, once in the spotlight, their opportunities are limitless. Ordinary folks, however, are sitting at home, unsure of what celebrities will do next in their life, following them like puppets.
Anyone can get cheated on, so it’s important to remember your self-worth. Nothing is wrong with you and it’s more so the other person that has problems. Remember, Jay Z cheated on Beyoncé. Don’t get me wrong, Jay Z is an amazing musician, but Beyoncé is so much more than that. Beyoncé is a beautiful person inside and out so to see someone like her get cheated on shows how you’re most likely not the problem. Maybe men are just the problem? Haha… kidding!
