Located in the parking lot of West Valley College, off of Fruitdale Avenue, this farmers’ market happens every Saturday morning. There are definitely fewer people here, in comparison to the Campbell market, but the quality of produce and other goods is just as amazing. I personally prefer this market because it is less crowded, making it easier to get around. There are stands that have been previously reviewed that make an appearance at this market, and vice versa, so please keep that in mind.
Mission Fish:
The main reason my family goes to this market is for this stand’s fresh fish and other seafood. They have many different options, but we tend to get salmon. They will filet and clean fish for you if you request it as well. I would recommend buying fish first, asking for it to be fileted, go around the market, and then pick up the fish when you are ready to leave.
Prevedelli Farms:
Selling mainly apples, this stand is USDA certified organic and have a plethora of apple types. There is a type of apple for everyone, and they also have seasonal squash and tomatoes at this time.
Lee Family Farms:
USDA Certified Organic, this stand has a wide spread of different in-season fruits. I recently got Asian Pears, which were crispy, sweet, and everything I wanted in an Asian Pear.
Oren’s Hummus:
Also a restaurant in multiple locations, this stand provides hummus, pita, and other such items. They also have whole grain pita as well as regular, which satiates my health nut of a mother. Hummus comes in two sizes, so you can live in hummus bliss.
India Gourmet:
My family always gets a chicken tikka masala wrap for lunch after going around the market. With freshly made naan, tender chicken, and aromatic spices, it is hard not to love it.
