Every Sunday many vendors come together in Downtown Campbell to put on the Campbell Farmers’ Market. Selling plants, art, vegetables, fruit, and more, the market offers a plethora of goods and services. The market is incredibly lively, with live music and people of all ages. Here are some particularly good stands to check out:
Rodriguez Farms:
This organic farm has the best strawberries to exist, they are perfectly ripe and delectable making them the perfect fruit for any of your strawberry needs. They also sell raspberries and blackberries, all of which set a high standard for any other stand’s berries.
Rojas Family Farm:
With tons of fruit varieties and many samples, Rojas Family Farm is a one stop shop for fruit. Normally located in front of the Recycle Bookstore, fruit is priced by weight, and you can choose which individual fruit is wanted. Always very sweet, their fruit is something to definitely look for in the market. Notably, they have Asian Pears, also called Persian Pears, apple pears, papple, and much more. The crispy and juicy fruit is perfect for a snack.
Sunrise Nursery:
These are some of the cheapest and best flowers that you will find at the Campbell Farmers’ Market. Nupur personally loves to get the sunflowers and mix them with others and since all of their flowers are $5-6 dollars they make perfect for a cheap bouquet. Not to mention that they last up to two weeks with proper care, a trip to the farmers market is never complete without flowers so definitely make sure to stop by this lovely nursery!
Beckman’s:
With award winning pies, cookies, bread, and more, Beckman’s provides many different products for most people. Our favorite is their Pumpkin Pie, which might be biased as Pumpkin is Anna’s favorite kind of pie. The pie is silky with a slightly crumbly crust, and brings pure joy. Anna’s mother’s favorite is their Holiday Rolls, which can be frozen and eaten later, making it very convenient.
Delicia’s Falafel:
The first words out of Nupur’s mouth after eating her falafel sandwich was: “this is so good”. Not only was their food ready fast but it was also fresh and absolutely delicious. Their portions are big and might be hard to finish in one sitting, but regardless all the flavors mixed with the tender falafel balls make this shop an absolutely perfect stop for lunch.
Dumpling King:
Anna will happily die for this stand and their dim sum. Selling bao, potstickers, scallion pancakes and much more, this place is quick and easy Chinese food that is easy to eat on the go. Special note to their ha gao aka shrimp dumplings, which are filled with tender shrimp and water chestnuts. Served with chili oil these delicious, though slightly overpriced, dumplings are not to be missed.
Hidden Star Orchards:
Although Nupur has only tried their apple cider, she states that it is the most delicious apple cider that she has ever tasted. Not only is it a bit tangy but it is also sweet. They have a variety of flavors regarding juices but they also have hard ciders if you are of age.
